Welcome to Little Lights Academy!

A Bright Beginning
for Every Child

Open Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm.

Welcome to Little Lights Academy!

As a non-profit early childhood center and a ministry of Ridgeland Church, we believe every child is unique, full of potential, and a special gift from God. We foster a warm and welcoming environment where children feel loved, respected, and safe to explore and learn.

An Early Start on Education

At Little Lights Academy, your child’s curiosity is the compass that guides their learning journey. As children play, their curiosity, individuality, and personalties develop. These moments of discovery spark individual and group exploration as they make friends and learn alongside their peers to grow in knowledge and understanding.

Where Kids Find Their Voice

We balance the unique needs of each child with the collective joy of discovery, offering materials and ideas that inspire them to:

  • Dive into the unknown and explore every corner of their world.
  • Ask questions that spark critical thinking and ignite their imaginations.
  • Build, deconstruct, and experiment, learning through hands-on experiences.
  • Consider different perspectives and collaborate with their peers.

Special Events

Through our partnership with Ridgeland Church, our families are invited to join in for a variety of fun events throughout each year. VBS, Graduation Celebration, Summer Meet-Ups, our Annual Christmas Program, Parents' Night Out, and more are regularly scheduled events for your family to enjoy together!

Our Age Groups

Each classroom at Little Lights Academy is thoughtfully designed around the needs, interests, and developmental stages of its age group. From infants to preschoolers, our learning environments encourage creativity, independence, and joyful exploration.

Making Child Care More Affordable for Your Family

We know that choosing child care is one of the most important — and sometimes most stressful — decisions families make. That’s why we’re proud to partner with the Illinois Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) to help make care more accessible and affordable.

If you’re working, in school, or in a training program, you may qualify for help paying for child care. CCAP can cover part or even most of your child care costs, depending on your family’s income and size.

We accept CCAP at our center and are happy to support you every step of the way — from applying to settling in.

Find out if you qualify and apply at IllinoisCaresForKids.org
